Description
This 4 way intersection is extremely dangerous, as the STOP signs are not visible from the roadway, heading north. Cars do not stop! My family and I have nearly been hit 3 times in the last month alone.
Also, the intersection is so large that it's hard to tell what the traffic plan is and the road markings have worn away, adding to the problem.
Could we please get some input from Dekalb County transportation on this issue? This really need to be addressed. A simple restriping of the intersection, visible STOP signs with parking spaces delineated would be a welcome change.

Why has there been no response to my inquiry?
Over the last month I witness cars every day run this stop sign at high rates of speed!
This morning my son was almost hit by a car who did not stop!
FIX THIS ISSUE!

Hello, yes, the intersection is Connecticut Avenue NE at Delaware Avenue NE and Ivy Place NE.
Over the past few days, even more high speed running of the stop signs have continued and are extremely dangerous.
I traffic study would be a welcome start and speed humps would definitely help quell the speeding on the street.
Thank you.

Standing here this morning, while waiting for the school bus, 13 cars have run the stop sign, in less than 15 minutes!
Still waiting on action.

While the recent stripes are a welcome addition, this intersection remains dangerous and needs furthrer improvement. I truly thought more would have been done.
In the morning, 1 out 4 cars runs the stop sign. More can be done to make this a safer intersection, especially when lots of children walk to the bus stop thru this intersection
Can speed bumps be installed at the stop lines??? Or on the entirety of Connecticut Avenue??? The road has turned into a major cut through from Dekalb Ave. over the McClendon.
Please help.

Why is it that Connecticut Avenue, north of McClendon had speed humps installed(this is a dead end road) yet the portion of Connecticut that IS a cut-thru has received no attention?
Cars continue to speed down the street and ignore the stop signs.
C’mon Dekalb, this road needs attention. Install the much needed speed humps already.
It’s been close to a year since this issue was reported.

The ATL311 issue is still showing pending traffic study (as of 7/10/18)
Lee, you may want to get ahold of the city councilperson since this has been assigned to the Department of Public Works. Looks like this is in District 5, and the councilwoman is Natalyn Archibong: narchibong@atlantaga.gov / (404) 330-6048
