I understand that the City owns an art piece in the Bainbridge Public Library (BPL). It is a painting or mural in the ceiling by Gayle Bard, with a glass installation by Steve Maslach. Some time back, during routine maintenance of the lights in the installation, the color filters over the lights were broken. Steve is in the process of creating replacements. Speaking with Steve yesterday, he was highly concerned that BPL had not notified the insurer and COBI. Therefore, I committed to make those notifications. I am now providing that notice to you. I am not requesting any action. Thanks.
