There is little grass growing any longer as cars continually park IN the park. Can curbs be added? Barriers? Signs letting people know NOT to park on the grass? Erosion is rapid on the opposite side of the park as well.
Sadly absolutely zero has been done to resolve or address this issue. The park is dying. There is litter throughout as people treat it like a dump- probably because it looks like a dump. The winter/snow is only allowing cars MORE area to park and the erosion is worse than before. This breaks my heart. What a missed opportunity for lovely and enjoyable green space.
Again, cars this AM were parked in/on the park. Are we able to leave signs on windshields asking cars to not park on the grass (er, what used to be grass)? How about wrapping curbs along the sides of this park to match both ends? That might set a line of where the road ends and the park begins?
There are continuing residents parking in this park. It’s often the same cars who park over the curbs and on the ‘grass’ and I see them getting in and out of their cars and walking into the surrounding buildings. I’ve suggested that they not park like this, but no one cares. It makes me so sad that this is allowed to occur.
