There are no violations with regards to this issue.

This isn't my report or my neighborhood but if it was I would have the same concerns as whoever reported this. That privacy fence is extremely tall, I have never seen one that tall before except at the historic Kildare–McCormick property off Oakwood Avenue - that issue was in the news several times when the city cited the owners for having a privacy fence that was too tall. That being said, what is the height limit for privacy fencing? Also, did the city inspect this fence to see if it was stable? The anonymous SeeClickFix user stated they were concerned about its stability. If it's unstable it could fall over and seriously injure someone.

There are two fences there, one is a chain link fence and one is a privacy fence - both are improperly installed. The chain link fence has the chain link about a foot higher than the top rail and the privacy fence is up on stilts.

Huntsville City, that fence is _definitely_ too tall. How is that not in violation?

Does any City of Huntsville department enforce height limits on fences? Huntsville Zoning? Several years ago the city made the owners of the historic Kildare-McCormick property off Oakwood take down a fence they were installing because it was too tall.

The problems with the fence at the Kildare mansion were related to the city right of way and its proximity to the road. The owners and the city ultimately came to an agreement; the fence was not taken down.

My recollection of the resolution between the owners of the Kildare-McCormick property and the city was that the owners agreed to take the fence down to 8 feet rather than the 15 feet they had started constructing before the city intervened.

The ordinance says the fence has to be properly installed, but that chain link wasn't done correctly.
