Description

There are several potholes leading up to this potentially FATAL crater on EAST EIGHTH STREET in the right of the curb lane as you start to follow the curve at the triangle toward 5rh Avenue. I drove through it in a car this weekend and it dented my steel rims in 2 places and it deflated the tire. I came back later to highlight the edges of the crater with white paint, because it needed to be more visible. BUT IT NEEDS TO BE FILLED PROMPTLY TO POSSIBLY SAVE A LIFE. A cyclist or a motorcyclist could easily be killed or maimed by an encounter with this monster pothole crater. That could cost the City MILLIONS in a death or injury lawsuit, so the reasonably prudent person would take remedial measures to avert such death or injury. (as shown in the photograph uploaded with this message). NEEDS IMMEDIATE FILLING WITH ASPHALT. CANNOT WAIT FOR GENERAL PAVEMENT RESURFACING SCHEDULE. Someone could be killed by that hole in the street, and potentially cost the City MILLIONS in a death lawsuit, so it would be a frugal and wise expenditure to send someone with a little asphalt and a shovel to fill it, and it would be negligent folly to delay, since it might cost MILLIONS to pay a death or injury claim. DO IT! Please, Thank you in advance for your kind attention to that hazardous road condition. You might save a life or limb by fixing it promptly. Uploaded Tuesday, May 30th, 2:40AM. cc: file.
