A complete disgrace. This is but one example of a section of roadway that should have had attention long before the fancy intersections on Dekalb St. It's been this way for years BTW.
I did notice there were recent repairs around the corner at the top of Chain St.
Why didn't they keep on going with the Johnson Hwy. block?

This road is a disaster. Recents "repairs" were made, but have actually made it worse. At least before you could dodge the potholes, now the patches are so large and uneven it's nearly offroading... if I worked for PennDOT I'd be embarrassed with that mess in front of one my stations.

I travel this road 6 days a week to work. It is a discrace to the drivinhg public in general and to those who live near by. The journey through this area is bone rattling.

this block has been a problem for over 20 years along with thw pothole at chain and logan. Every year they just put on patches and never have fully repaired the problems

They also need to widen the south bound lane and move the bus stop back to create a right turn lane for traffic going to Elmwood Zoo & Park.

This area of road is atrocious!! It is NOT the responsibility of PennDot, I asked one of the drivers one day, why don't they fix this road, he replied it was county road NOT state road. When your tires and alignment get out of whack from driving over this mess, get your car fixed and present the bill to the courthouse. If enough people do this, they'll be forced to fix the road(s). I've realized MOST of Ntown is a mess; pot holes, lines faded, and macadam NO longer is even black.

They need to put a right turn lane coming south on Swede Road. A lane thru the trees or move the bus waiting station back. It can be done very easily.

I can't agree more. The alignment on my car keeps needing repairs because I travel this road at least twice a day, 5 times a week. I'd take Fornance instead if that intersection wasn't suicide. Anyone who works in that PennDot office should be ashamed of themselves. This is how you maintain your own work area? Do you also poop where you eat?

I see by the other complaints that this has been an ongoing issue for quite some time. I can not understand why it can't be fixed. One of the holes is now at least 6 inches deep. I understand that Norristown has it's issues but it really bothers me that something so obvious can be ignored for so long. Problems such as these (as small as it might be in the overall scheme of things) and the lack of leadership to resolve such issues is one of the reasons Norristown is having such a hard time making a comeback.

Maybe it is because one side of the road is in Norristown & the other is in East Norriton. Perhaps we need to get East Norriton after them since Norristown Can't or WON'T.
