Description
I have this lake behind me and the city used to spray occasionally AND take care of plants growing around the culverts (like behind my house), but I haven't seen anyone spray or trim back the overgrowth in quite some time (and I work from home, so I probably would have noticed), and it has become a breeding ground. I've lived here 5 years and the mosquitoes have NEVER been this bad. I know all the rain exacerbates them, however we've had more rain than this in the past, and they were never so bad. I think much has to do with all the overgrowth at the culvert. I could show you pics of what it used to look like, and now, it's just awful. Anyway - Anything you can do would be appreciated.

I entered a service request about the mosquito problem in your area; our technician should be there within one working day depending on their work load. They will inspect the property and surrounding neighborhood to determine the source of the problem and will take the necessary action to correct the problem; whenever possible we try to target Mosquitoes in the aquatic juvenile stage to control them at the source.
If we cannot get into the property due to locked gates then please check for anything that may be holding rainwater as Mosquitoes will breed in them by the hundreds, we’ll be checking the area surrounding the property for anything that may be contributing to the problem and will take the necessary steps to eliminate or treat the source.
If you are at the property when the technician arrives then please take the opportunity to inform them of your concerns. If you are not at the property when they arrive a card will be left providing you with detailed information on our handling of your request and what we will do to monitor the area for any further problems that may develop.
If there are any other questions or concerns you may have please call me at 727- 464-7503.
Thank you,

I don't know how the "Thanks for fixing the issue" came up, but it was a MISTAKE. I can't thank y'all at Mosquito Control for much of anything. I was gone LITERALLY 5 minutes today, dropping something off down the street and when I came home, I found a note from y'all on my front door along with a small 6" plant pot. The note on it said: "This pot and the birdfeeder in back are breeding. (Incomplete sentence, but I figured out what they were trying to say "grounds") Treated bird bath.
Okay, first off, I find it funny that they find this tiny pot, but fail to even mention the rain barrel! Secondly, I treat - once a week - the rain barrel and any other permanent standing water 'structures' or containers with Dunks. Including the bird bath! So I'm not worried about mosquitoes breeding in those areas. And I know what to look for as I have an entomologist in the family, so your service person treated my bird bath for no reason, wasting your resources. What I am MOST worried about, that wasn't even mentioned in the door note, was treatment of the LAKE behind my house!!!!!!!!!
