To Anonymous; Whether you like it or not Timberlake cops have that reputation. Everyone I know tells me that you have to go 1-5 mph under the speed limit, make full stops and pause before turning on red or at a stop sign, and if you don't use your blinker your dead meat. These cops will do anything to pull you over.

I think your exagerating a little, anonymous and you sound a little silly. I think you meant to say 1-5 mph OVER the speed limit, which sounds about right.
So in other words, You need to 1. Drive the speed limit, 2. Stop at red lights , 3. Stop at stop signs , and 4. Use your turn signal.
It sounds to me like if you follow the traffic laws in Timberlake, you have nothing to worry about.

Anonymous is NOT exaggerating, Timberlake will pull you over just for the heck of it. Yes, you have to drive under the speed limit or they are on top of you. Not a myth pure fact! They have nothing better to do than to pull innocent drivers over.

Timberlake cops pull everyone over for EVERYTHING. You can be picking your nose and you will get pulled over. Must be nice to sit back and get paid to not catch criminals and just pull someone over for going 36 mph in a 35 zone.

If you notice, the Timberlake cop sits there in the afternoon when the sun shines on that stupid traffic light that you can't see until you are right underneath it, then its to late to stop. Timberlake police stopped me and I told the cop to go look at the traffic light himself. He let me go with a warning.

OK Timberlake is no bigger than Grand River and Grand River police has never pulled me over for anything other than speeding but I go through there maybe twice a month but TimberLake has pulled me over at least 3 times over the traffic light every other week, and I am tired of their so called officers.

The police there are paid to enforce the law. Leave the police alone and obey the law. I'm sure if people would do what's expected of them, they wouldn't get stopped and/or cited. The only speed limits that people follow is what they feel like driving, not what is posted.
All communities now are complaining that they don't have money, well they could have a fortune if they would start ticketing people for just speeding alone, let alone other things like not using a turn signal, talking on the phone (which includes the police themselves), texting and so forth.

Timberlake is insane, and all you people sticking up for them are either friends of the officers, or stupid. I used to live in timberlake, and moved away, because all night every night, I had lights flashing throuth my windows. Living right on lakeshore, a few houses down from where they sat. I watched them pull over car after car after car after car, for nothing. Timberlake cant afford to pay for a officer, so they let them know, write as many tickets as you can, or your fired. When I drive through that stinkhole these days, I drive 30 in a 35 zone. Because I know better. I feel so sorry for all the poor decent people paying to keep that Barney Fife working. Tired of complainers : your just too dang old and have too much time on your hands, I work my tail off every week just to keep my car and house and they pull me over for some B.S. Charge well, I say "Get a life" I am a law abiding cit. and I do everything to follow the law and you cant see or don't have a open mind for our blue coller complaints well bugger off.

Tickets generate no revenue for the village - you are thinking of places with mayors courts. By the time Willoughby courts and the state take their pieces of the ticket, we don't even come close to covering our costs of policing the intersection. It's a safety issue. Enforcement at that intersection reduces serious accidents. If you read the police reports, they average 2 citations a day. How many cars pass through that intersection? And for Mr. Habina - the incorporation line is south of the road, by the sidewalk. They tend to not split roads down the middle when they do that.

My suggestion to all of you who are complaining is, 1. follow the law, 2. take a different route that will eliminate the Timberlake hassle. I am over in that direction daily and have NEVER been stopped. Oh, I guess I must be following the law!

HeHeHe, this makes me laugh, I was stopped in the 80's for 'following too close' actually stopped for someone making a left in the apt's. But the funniest thing is when the cop took the vin - ran it - came back and asked me why I was driving a stolen vehicle I laughed. I was driving a white 'vet', but who would really have stolen that car.....it was a CHEVETTE!! Really!!!

Was waiting for a women to turn, this woman was in the intersection when the light turned red. Not sure what she did, I'm assuming she motioned at the cop who was also watching the intersection if she could go, to which he just shrugged. She went, and he immediately pulled her over.

I'm the original poster. This problem seems to have been solved. I've noticed less activity, and the people I do see getting pulled over are indeed running the red light.

Hopefully this issue opened their bosses eye and he cracked down. Someone has.

As to the last person, that is entirely speculation. For all you know that shrug could have been him stretching or adjusting his seat, and since you do not know what the lady did in fact do during that time. I'm going to call BS/not relevant.

I pass by Dennys 6 to 7 days a week to work and have to stop at the lite-- on my right side is there parking lot.-- there cruiser always parks in the same spot for the last two years . on my schedule of 6 am every morning. Also I am care mech. and I know my cars for this is a Ford Dual exhaust like the State Patrole use .. I happen to work in the area where Tim Police shop on Duty.!!!

Also, I might add that I have lived here 30+ years and got 1 ticket. Yes, I was in the wrong.

I am also very confident in my assumption that the other 54 people who want this fixed were in the wrong and have been taught atleast one of the basic principals in driving with the use of a citation.

This has to be fact because when I come home at night and watch all of you and your driving habits, it is very apparent to me that you have no clue what the white and yellow lines are for and equally apparent that none of you can read signs as well.

So you worry about your police department and the timberlake residents will take care of ours.

And don't you dare do 21MPH in the school zone! They also sit on Lakeshore and 91 to watch for people sitting in front of the fire station to ticket them as well. I hope my police departmrnet is giving tickets to anyone for NOT driving per the law. I am surpised how many drivers don't know what the turn single is, many times I'm at a intersection and have someone pull in front of me with no turn signal. How many drivers buy new cars and have no idea how they operate, I know drivers who don't know what a car manual is.
