I agree! This crosswalk is very needed, it is a major safety issue!

I don’t think any action by the Cory will be undertaken by comments here - you should really send a message to City Council person Lisa Goodman to express your desire for action to be taken on this issue.

I too would love to see those solar powered flashing cross walk lights installed at this area.

I just contact Lisa Goodman's office. They have received several requests for this and are supposed to be calling me back today to let me know what their plan is. (Somewhat realted to this: they also told me that the oak grove and hennepin/lyndale intersection headed towards the walker that previously allowed two lanes to turn right and now only has one right turn lane was change due to pedestrian safety (watching for one lane of turning traffic vs two lanes). They are looking to find a fix for the traffic backup at this intersection after the 94 construction is complete to assess how much is traffic is stemming from the construction.)
