At the City Council’s direction, City staff will begin the Bear Creek Parkway lane modification project on Monday, April 26. Bear Creek Parkway is currently a four-lane divided roadway from Keller Smithfield Road to Rufe Snow Drive. The plan is for the roadway in front of Keller Town Hall and the Keller Town Center development to be narrowed to two lanes. The purpose of the project is to help in slowing down the traffic and to also create approximately 30 additional parking spaces for Keller Town Center. The westbound lane transition will begin on the east end of the bridge approximately 200 feet from the Arthouse. The eastbound lane transition will begin in front of the Keller Natatorium. New striping, buttons, signage, and concrete bollards will be added to the roadway with this project.
