What happened in court? A neighbor told me that 2 weeks ago there were cars lined up on Bazemore and they were selling the stuff off the street again. These are renters and they do not care. This is their FB page - https://www.facebook.com/sweetesshavedice/
Food truck is still parked in our residential area today, August 25, five days after the scheduled court date of 8-20 set by Code Enforcement. Please update the neighbors as to what happened in court.
Today is September 1, twelve days after the August 20th court date set by Code Enforcement and the RED FOOD TRUCK is still out on the driveway in our residential subdivision. Please update us with the results of what happened in court, and what are the consequences.
Not being picky but their court date was Monday, August 21, not August 20. Anyway, yes, we want to find out what happened and why the trailer is still there. Other cases of the same nature were ordered to have their commercial vehicle removed. Were they given 30 days? Just tell us what happened. Thank you.
I searched on the Memphis Zoning Commission website and there are plenty of similar cases that determined that commercial vehicles and equipment cannot be stored in a residential neighborhood. I attached an example.
CASE SHOULD NOT BE CLOSED. FOOD TRUCK HAS BEEN THERE DAILY SINCE COURT DATE OF AUGUST 21. FOOD TRUCK WAS THERE TODAY, September 8 at 9:46 a.m. Supposedly after re-inspection. Who is doing these inspections?
This should NOT be closed! This violates Section 2.5.2 (sub section 2.7.1 A and G) of the Residential Zoning law where it says that commercial equipment is NOT a typical accessory of a residentially zoned area. What happened on August 21!!! Were they ordered to store this commercial trailer in another location? This is getting ridiculous!
Ok, today is September 25th, exactly 37 days after CODE ENFORCEMENT set court date of 8-21 and the neighbors are STILL looking at the red food truck parked in a residential neighborhood. Please update neighbors with the consequences on this app!
I agree with Eleni. We've all asked over and over again what happened on the 21st. I'm sick and tired of this city government NOT listening to us and telling us what's going on. The zoning laws are very clear that you cannot store commercial vehicles in residential. neighborhoods. I sited similar cases that already were ordered to move them. What is going on? Whatever city employee reads this, we want an answer this time!
Here's what I found out from the Deputy Director of Public Works: There have been 19 service requests since May regarding this food trailer at 8754 Bazemore. The City ONLY deals with parking on the grass! That is why our other requests were closed. We must file on the SHELBY CODE CODE ENFORCEMENT website with our pictures and complaints in order for Shelby County to take action regarding ZONING violations. 6 months of our time wasted! Please get on-line today and start filing complaints or call them at 222-8300.
Thank you Eleni!!! And all I can wonder is why they just didn’t tell us that instead of closing them with no comment. I will file of new complaint with the right people now.
Well I would like to say nothing ever happened in court because the city and county told us no need to come because the complaint had been resolved. Unlike you few complainers the people of the neighborhood loved our truck and asked us to sell on the street. But as you all are clearly lying we only sold on Bazemore once and never did again. The county also throughout your complaints because you all are blatant liars. Any good neighbor would have come talk to us instead of sticking fake code stickers on our mailbox.
