Description
This roadway has reached the end of its useful life. The road is difficult to travel given the deep puddles (~6 inches deep) which cover the road from one side to the other. After a good rain the water will remain standing for weeks at a time. The road also has severe damage which can catch the bottom of your vehicle. The roadway appears to have reached the end of its useful life and needs to be redone. Please see attached picture which shows the details of the many problems that this section of Leeman Ferry Rd SW has.

Attached is a google maps screen grab. The section of roadway requiring repair is denoted by the red arrows. Huntsville Public Works has done some small patches to this section of Leeman Ferry Road previously under the previous Issue ID: 3462314.
Recent asphalt improvements done by the city in this area using heavy machinery has severely damaged this section of Leeman Ferry Rd. The city originally built this roadway about 25 years ago. The Huntsville city manager John Hamilton is familiar with the situation. Please contact his office if you have any further questions. A visit by your PW supervisor would be very much welcomed given that the pictures I have posted do not do justice as far as showing how damaged this section of Leeman Ferry Rd actually is. Thank you..
