Sound guns have been used against both myself and my Mother over the past year. These are ostensibly crowd control devices but they were used against us while walking on the sidewalk not part of a group or any uncivil activity. As a result we both have suffered some hearing loss, my Mom to the extent that she now owns a hearing aid.

These are purportedly used by DHS and National Guard and local police and sheriff departments, but I am not sure which organization the users were working with. There are a number of defense industry contractors with a local presence also.
