Description
The new sensors on the traffic lights at the intersections of Irving St. and North Beacon St. and Irving St. and Arsenal St. are all over the place. This morning at 7:20 a.m. I sat at the light at Irving and North Beacon (on Irving, heading for Mount Auburn St.) for almost ten minutes. When the cross traffic on North Beacon finally got a red light, then the cars across got a protected left turn. Then it switched back to the cross traffic, with no opportunity for us to go. There were cars in front of me, and they may have not quite been close enough to trigger the sensor, but this still should not be happening. The traffic at these recently reprogrammed lights is getting worse and worse, especially during peak hours.
