Description

The house at 840 23rd Ave N has been a consistent issue in our neighborhood for over 15 years. The house, as it sits, should be condemned. There's been a parade of people coming and going over the last 4 years and those of us that live on 23rd Ave N have dealt with oversized vehicles parked in front of 840, pieces of the house falling off, weekly yard sales, junk left in the alley and junk in front of the house and on the porch. The front window as of 2 weeks ago had a sticker announcing that the house was uninhabited. Several of the upstairs windows were left open during hurricane Irma and rain blew into the upper story. Currently, the front porch is full of kitchen cabinets and a microwave. There appears to be someone new living in the back of the house. Are they living there legally? Who knows? I know there's been complaints from multiple residents of 23rd Ave N in just the last 12-18 months. Just what has to happen for the city of St Petersburg to do something about this house?!
