Thank you for your report. The current King County Code does not allow motorized vehicles of any kind (e.g. full electric motorcycles or electric-assisted bicycles) on backcountry trails managed by King County Parks. However, if people need them for accessibility purposes they are currently allowed to ride e-bikes on our trails. We are currently reviewing code and use trends to determine how we will handle the increased e-bike use on our backcountry trail system, and may potentially include updating signage as part of that overall strategy.

This is becoming more and more of a problem. Enforcement is needed.

1651 days and its only gotten worse.

Speeding and other dangerous behavior on our trails by all types of trail users (whether on e-bikes or not) is a consistent problem that we are working to address through added signage, and targeted messaging and education campaigns, such as our Trail Safety Campaign (more information here https://kingcountyparks.org/2019/08/06/be-a-trail-champion/) that reinforces proper trail behavior and etiquette.

Feel free to close this when you have made changes that reduce this problem. Until then this should stay open. ebikes continue to blatantly use Duthie and Grand Ridge. Please enforce your rules.
