After half a year of contacting relevant city departments; Councilman Ferraro's office (his district), the Blight Initiative, Code Compliance, Public Works-Solid Waste, Public Affairs-Neighborhoods, and Parking Enforcement nothing has been done to put a stop to this BLIGHT. Sent an email to Mayor Curry this morning with updated pics. Waiting for a reply

City cleaned up the right of way AGAIN yesterday, but until they put a stop to truckers parking on this street, it will be trashed again soon.

Contacted John Pappas, Director of Public Works on !/23 to request Solid Waste to schedule another cleanup of the area as it has become trashed again. As of 2/15, no response. Left a message on Councilman Ferraros phone requesting a callback to discuss this matter on Monday 2/12. As of Thursday 2/15, no reply.

As of 2/24 no cleanup yet, and no callback from Councilman Ferraro. The attached pic taken 2/10 shows a No Parking sign laying in the mud and trash. I have an email from Connie Holt (Councilman Ferraro's executive assistant dated July 10, 2017, where she says she asked Public Works to re-install the signage on Granite Place. Why hasn't this been done? Because the City doesn't care !!!!

Sent another email to Mayor Curry. Again he "passed the buck" down to the same people he did last year. Still no action taken. I am now trying to see what State agencies I can get involved. Possibly Department of Environmental Protection?? Anyone have any ideas?

After well over a year, it is perfectly clear that the city intends to do absolutely NOTHING about this.

I have just about given up on getting the current administration of the City of Jacksonville to put a stop to this disgusting mess. Perhaps after the elections next month we will get people in office that care about our city.
