Update from Construction Services: The project was granted approval from the City Building Official, Rick Dunn, to work outside the normal Operating Hours of Construction in order to complete an early morning concrete pour. A more concerted effort should have been made to effectively communicate this request, action and subsequent approval. SPPD and the City Building Official should have proactively reached out to the community. Has the aforementioned website been shared with the community?

So are we just supposed to live with 2 am construction? This is not acceptable in a residential area. How many more of these permits will be approved?

Come on folks its not every night being its so hot pouring concrete is best done at night its cooler and it will dry correctly At least it wasn't a jack hammer. Maybe if where u live u add more insulation u might never hear it I didn't very quiet. Now if u were to see the magic in the noise turn it into music and fall asleep

I should also mention that we have been woken up repeatedly by SPPD construction on random weekdays, beginning as early as 5:30 a.m. Are permits being pulled for these days?

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
