Medians on NE 8th Ave are all nicely bricked and landscaped, EXCEPT the most visible one closest to Main Street. When it is rebuilt, perhaps travel lanes can be visibly narrowed slightly to discourage speeding by east bound traffic (leaving wide 4 lane section and entering narrow 2 lane section of 8th Ave).

The existing median was installed by the developer of the CVS building. It was designed and installed prior to the N.E. 8th Avenue reconstruction.
If and when this island is ever reconstructed, it will be brought up to the standard that the rest of the islands on N.E. 8th Avenue were designed to.
