Description

I sent below to permits last week and they are not interested. Who else in st pete might be?

"> In 1996 I had a roof installed by a licensed contractor. it started leaking after 3 years. The contractor came to fix it several times, but it kept leaking. After the 7th year they would not come out unless I paid them. I had several other licensed roofers try and fix it many times over the years. Nothing worked. We replaced one of the ridge vents a few years ago and we noticed that it was not installed to the manufacturer's requirements. So, I then contacted the manufacturer of this TAS 100 approved ridge vent and got the instructions for 1996 and again, the roofing contractor did not install these properly. I contacted the roofing contractor and they refused to fix this.

> This roofing contractor still installs roofs in this area.

> Later this year or early next year I will be getting a new roof. I big part of the cost will be replacing water damaged wood because of these leaks.

> I would like st pete permit department to come by to see and document how the ridge vents were improperly installed as we remove them and see if the underlayment was installed correctly."

Who should I contact concerning this, since permits does not care?
