Traffic Advisory Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of the Month, 7pm, not sure if there is a December meeting, but please STOP into this Monthly Meeting and advise of them of your concerns personally... This goes a long way to getting things done... This commission is very proactive to citizen request... This does not mean a STOP SIGN will pop up there on your request, but this will definitely cause a look into your concerns... Happy Holidays!

Thank you for reporting this concern to the City of Dixon. City Staff will conduct a traffic study at this location and this item has tentatively been scheduled for discussion at the December 20, 2017 Transportation Advisory Commission Meeting. Transportation Advisory Commission Meetings are regularly scheduled for the third Wednesdays of even months (February, April, June, August, October, December).

City Staff needs to include a one block radius of car collisions, hit and runs, exhibition of speed in their traffic study of this location.

A motion was made and approved to deny the installation of a stop sign at this location and to request further enforcement from the Dixon Police Department. Thank you for the quick traffic study of this location. I was happy with traffic study results confirming my original concern of speed in that area. Traffic results proved that southbound traffic on North Adams Street averaged 8 mph above the posted speed limit. Looking forward to seeing the results from further speed enforcement by D.P.D.
