What do you expect? A magical army of snowplows to suddenly appear in Meriden?
Relax, have some coffee and accept that you're probably looking at Monday or Tuesday before being able to drive anyplace.
For what it's worth, we're in the same boat you are. We can see traffic on Hanover Ave, but side streets haven't been touched in this area of South Meriden.
Hopefully you prepared as recomended. Just like the blizzard of '78 it will take time. In '78 they didn't plow, they used payloaders and it took days to clear all the streets. Be patient and given the plow operators time to do their job. Be smart, be safe.
I rec'd. 3 responses to my complaint, 2 were answered professionally and 1 was very rude and wasn't appreciated. I understand it was an incredible amount of snow and everyone was overwhelmed, but if you're dealing with the public a little respect goes alot further than just being plain nasty. Why would anyone want to voice a comment or concern if you're going to be treaty this way!
Following is the email I rec'd.
