We already have an officer on this case and they are in court in regards to the issues. Next court date is 1/5/18

They don't seem to care about their court cases. The attached photo was taken this morning. Truck on the lawn, trash cans still out from last Thursday, etc. They just don't care. Since this is probably not the first, second or 10th time the ordinance or animal control officer have dealt with them, I would imagine they think it's a joke and won't comply. Hopefully there is a next step that will make them understand that this isn't some hick town where it's OK to keep your yard looking like a junkyard. I'm not the one that reported this, but agree it's an eyesore and has been for years.

So what happened in court?

Defendant failed to appear on 1/5/18. Court will issue Show Cause hearing and we will post once received. Another court case is scheduled for different enforcement on 2/16/18 as well.

How many non-appearances does the court give before they issue a warrant? It's ridiculous that this blight is ongoing and we as neighbor's have to put up with it. If they want to run a car repair business they need to rent a facility and comply with all laws.

I totally agree with Djk. It's always been a mess over there. I wonder if they are some of those sovereign citizen people that don't think the rules apply and don't have to follow what the government says to them. We have other issues on our block where they are getting ticket after ticket and the place still looks like a mess. They aren't complying either. I really think the people on 6 Mile don't care what the law / government think. It will be interesting to see if the Township can make them stop making their place look like a junkyard. I'd hate to be their neighbor, but also hate seeing it as I drive by.

I totally agree that something needs to be done at this address. This has been going on for years and nothing happens. Please do something to address this issue.

Owner has gone to court and was found responsible by the Court. Owner was assessed full fines and needs to be in compliance immediately. Ordinance Officer 1 has been out to the property during the weeks of April 2nd and April 9th and owner is making progress. Ordinance Officer will continue to monitor the progress and compliance. If there are continued issues, pleas open another case.
