Construction on the 14th St. bridge caused lane shifting. New solid lines were painted on the approach to the bridge, and the old broken lines were grayed out. The gray paint is wearing off and the broken lines are visible again. This is causing confusion for many drivers, thinking the broken lines are the proper lanes, and suddenly finding themselves partially crossing into another lane where other vehicles are hitting the breaks to avoid being sideswiped.
