Public Works - RL (Operations) assigned this issue to Public Works - VB (Compliance Officer)

The opening to the Som Ave. crosswalk from the CVS corner over to the T station is often too narrow to accommodate the many dozens of pedestrians who cross there at one time. This has been a serious problem in the past, made more obvious by the wonderful job the MBTA does on its end of this busy crosswalk. There should be an opening in the plow ridge as wide as the crosswalk itself. I've asked the city to open it up in the past and it has done so, but it usually has to be prompted. Can't maintaining a wide opening in the CVS corner plow ridge be put on the city's access-to-transit priority list?

Your standards for compliance must be exceptionally low then. I've attached three pictures. There is no way that anyone can drive a wheelchair or a stroller on the shoveled paths not to mention the pedestrian path is uneven and treacherous.
