I am always amazed at this "excuse". I have seen Macon-Bibb trucks picking up debris on state routes, including Riverside Drive. I see the BCSO writing tickets (and Bibb County collecting fines) on state routes, and I can go on and on. Handling a simple matter like this is not outside of the duties of Bibb County employees and the state actually encourages them to do so. Bibb County Public Works has done clean-up work on Eisenhower Parkway (picking up trash and illegal signs) every so often and it is both a state and federal road, just like Riverside Drive. Since this is an electronic complaint forum, please forward this to Lee Laferty or provide me with Mr. Laferty's e-mail address. I will reopen this until we get some acceptable resolution. THanks!

I was just informed by GDOT that the issue was forwarded to them by See Click Fix and that they will be handling it. Thank You! I think that this should be SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for this type of issue because of the amount of state and federal roads that pass through Macon. My mistake on the earlier response, I did not see (blind as a bat) that the issue had been referred, I only saw that the follow-up was supposed to be by phone to Lee Lafferty.
