Since all the road work has begun with River Rd, majority of people now use Cathay Rd as a short cut to get on River Rd which cuts traffic/travel time in half! But these people who are travelling through here are speeding up to 60+ MPH once they get passed the curvy spots and hit the straight road close to the River Rd side! Not to mention, MANY people are street racing out here now!
A guy ran off the road the other night at 3 AM, almost driving into my home! Something needs to be done! I don't feel safe sitting in my living room, let alone allowing my kids to play outside! I can't even count on BOTH of my hands on how many times I have almost been hit just going to check my mail box!
What can be done?? Speed humps?? Who do we contact before something devastating happens out here?
