I agree. I have lived off Martin Road for 30 years and this intersection gets more and more dangerous.

I saw that a traffic counting vehicle was parked at the site on Tuesday.

I completely agree. The curve on Martin heading toward Martin Road Park makes it very hard to see oncoming cars, and the rate of speed at which they travel makes it hard to judge how much time you have to make a safe turn. A four way stop would be very helpful at this intersection.

We moved to Columbia less than a year ago. Adding stop sign is a simple fix and saves life too. I tell my visitors to be careful when they get to that intersection. Few of my friends almost run into an accident assuming it is a four way stop. I hope the county will make this adjustment quickly.

Great news guys, they are going to install a stop sign on Martin Road after traffic study! My request has been met the requirement for the standard. Thank you all for voting on the request

After a traffic study analysis, the intersection of Martin Road at Seneca Drive meets the MUTCD warrant for multiway stop control. Therefore, stop signs will be installed at this intersection for Martin Road approaches. The construction will happen within next month or two. YZ
