I called MODOT, St. Charles Police, PotHole Hotline, and then again last night. Sadly my daughter hit one so hard that her tire blew and she was crying when she called me. I begged them to put out cones because for one solid mile from Streets of St. Charles down S. River Road there are like 40 enormous pot holes, some 8 inches deep and a foot across. I plan on submitting a claim against the city for being so non-responsive. It is an extremely hazardous road. When I call the St. Charles police again last night they said they would get someone to look the next morning. I hope others were not also affected but this negligence.

dmaislin: The area of S. River Road that you are referring to is not in the City's jurisdiction, but in the County. We have notified them of this need multiple times since November. Last Friday, they assured me that they are going to be out patching holes this week. The road is scheduled for reconstruction/overlay this year. Thank you again for reporting this issue to the City of St. Charles. The City is aware of the undermining problem in the Foxborough Subdivision. There is
no danger of the street collapsing at this time. Foxborough is slated for the Annual Concrete Replacement Program in the summer of 2018. We appreciate input from residents in order to help improve our City!
