i drive down this stretch every day and it appears nothing has changed.

Can someone confirm the most recent request has adequately fixed the problem?

The request was closed with notes stating that they are currently working on getting the street milled and paved.

They need to reopen the ticket. the road is very rough (north and south bound lanes) Marietta Street/Blvd. to pass the Animal Shelter (Rice Street).
The lines in the road are gone and you are dodging the very rough road. the travel causes very bad damage to your tires and alignment.

I was able to submit another request for this issue via service request #1123645005!

Thank you. Again, i drive this route to and from work everyday. I have seen zero improvements and the conditions have worsened. I also opened a ticket about branches/debris hanging into the street in this area after a storm. This issue has not been resolved either.

Hi! I pulled up the request in our system and it is closed with notes that the work was completed on 07/13/2018.

There was a temporary patch job completed in July, however, the temporary patch job has since washed away. The potholes are now the same as they were prior to being patched.

The road on Marietta Blvd to W Marietta Street, NW is the worst in Atlanta. Both sides are totally damaged. I almost had a bad accident last week on this road. Large holes in the road and there are no lines separating the lanes.

I wont hold my breath. I've been reporting this issue for about a YEAR (see original date) and NOTHING has been done. NOTHING.

Hi LVFT. We apologize for the delay in all the areas of this road being resolved. The requests made have shown that the crews have went out to make repairs and we are working to ensure that additional requests are made in the event anything is missed or doesn't hold when they initially go out. We are also notating all new information that has been share and we hope this can be resolved soon for everyone.

The road need to be PAVED and NOT patched. Because it is a heavily traveled road (cut through to downtown Atlanta), the trucks and the rain are causing the holes to be larger. PLEASE DO NOT PATCH. Please pave the road. They began paving Donald Lee Hollowell and Marietta Blvd last year, but did not come down Marietta Blvd (past the jail and Animal Shelter).. it is a dangerous stretch of road, curvy and full of potholes (almost 1/2 the size of the lane). Thank you for taking care of this for us.

LVFT - most of the issues reported in and around Knight Park / Howell Station have been open for a year or more with little or no progress.

Yep this area is a MASSIVE issue. How hard is it to just go clean up the sediment and trash on the road? the other day there was a concrete block on the road near the curb ON TOP OF THE SEDIMENT. Go clean it up and make it safe, please. Yes - REPAVE. no more PATCHING.

Hello, I have added these notes to the request to let them know that repaving is the preferred choice of repair over patching. We have also reached out to Public Works directly regarding these issues and the requests that have been made. so, they came out and did patch work, but due to the constant rain, the patchwork was in vain. this road needs to be totally paved. from Donald Lee Hollowell and Marietta Blvd, all the way to the bridge (W marietta Street). I noticed them one Saturday patching the road. it rained for 3 days straight and the drains were overflowing (at the corner of Rice Street and Marietta Blvd). you literally had to swerve into the other lane to prevent your car from drowning in the access water, along with dodging the huge potholes. I now need an alignment done because of how rough this stretch of road has become. DO NOT PATCH, PLEASE, PLEASE PAVE THE ENTIRE STRETCH OF ROAD. Make the trucks go another route and smooth out the road. it is very dangerous. someone is going to get hurt. I have swerved several times trying to avoid the huge pot holes. DO NOT PATCH

We are reaching out to the Public Works Department to advise of this ongoing issue. Repaving the entire road will take more work and time, however, we will forward this issue to them and be sure to relay any information provided regarding how this will be addressed.

We also created service request #1139583341 to address those clogged drains in that area.

thank you. this has been going on for months, if not a year or more. the taxpayers deserve a smooth ride and not jeoparidze themselves with potholes, which will evenly turn into a sinkhole.

The concrete block i mentioned on 2/07 is also still there. Sediment is still piling up. Today with all the rain, the entire lane was flooded. Way to go.

We just issued service request #1139632310 to address the sediment in the road and we referred the last request made for this to ensure it is addressed.

I would like to echo the sentiment of both LVFT and Katlady. This might be one of the most dangerous, poorly kept roads on this side of the city. Not only are the lines faded and there is sediment encroaching on the road, but this road is also EXTREMELY narrow. With the amount of 18-wheeler traffic coming to/from the railroad yard, this should not be a 4-lane road.

Jessica, we created service request #1140399732 to address the fading of the street pavement and they will also investigate the encroaching sediment.

Will any progress be made on this stretch of road? I finally got around to capturing a dashcam video to show how dangerous it is to travel on this road with 18 wheelers. Not only can you not see the lines AT ALL, but it is far too narrow to have 4 lanes across when 18 wheelers need 2 lanes themselves. It is also riddled with potholes. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to share video on this app, so here are some images from this particularly dangerous turn in the road. Please notice how the truck can not safely maintain one lane and must use both lanes to make the turn.

This is ridiculous that after a year someone has decided that a traffic count is now needed. Those of us who have to navigate this road daily would welcome you to come over and experience this road first hand. Between the pot holes, decaying storm drains that have underminded the road, as well as dodge pedeatrians that have to walk on the street due to no side walks. This road has been neglected for many years and has taken a beating from 18 wheelers, cement trucks and thousands of cars everyday. Fix this road before someone gets severly hurt or worse.

This ticket doesnt need to be closed to contact public works...this ti ket needs to be updated when you contact public works. We niw have no way of tracki g this issue when the ticket is closed.

Since when is. Traffic counted needed on a major city road just to repair pot holes

Was a traffic count done whem they decided to pave Donald Lee Hollowell. Drive the stretch of the road one day and i gurantee you will see what we are talking about
