Description

We believe that a storm sewer/drainage pipe has collapsed or is leaking under our yard, in the portion that is the city owned right-of-way, on the Queensbury side of 726 Electra. This leak or collapse has caused the grass to cave-in and the adjacent sidewalk to sink 4+ inches. We reported the issue to the city and were told that the sidewalk is our responsibility, though no one has actually investigated the underlying cause of the pipe leak/collapse. Please have someone investigate this issue so the safety hazard can be remediated. As you can see from the photo, this is not a new problem and has occurred previously. This also happened approximately 9 months ago to the property across Electra, on the Queensbury side.
