While the standing water has receded, the scattered rocks remain along the sidewalk, creating a hazard for bike riders & walkers. Can this area be paved? Thanks, MWH

Public Works will send staff out to clean up this area for safety. If the area is paved, there will be no drainage at this location. For now, the City will continue to sweep up the area as needed. Do not hesitate to contact us when a vehicle has scattered the rocks.

OK, fair enough. But this is going to be a repetitive maintenance issue for you. If paving is not a solution, is there some sort of paver that would allow water to seep through, but eliminate the loose rocks? Like the pavers used on the TI beach access parking lot. Would work. Thanks, MWH

This suggestion/alternative will be brought up in budget meetings, which are presently underway.

Thank you for reporting this issue request via SeeClickFix. The issue you reported has been fixed and we are closing this issue. Last week City staff cleaned up the area and compacted the rocks.

Thanks for your follow-up. Saw the compacting. This past weekend a car/truck drove off the pavement through the stones, kicking some up on the sidewalk. A more suitable fix is needed, how do I get an update on whether the idea of paver passed at the budget meeting?
