The COBI Code Compliance Officer has visited the site. Owners believed tree cutting rule was 6 per year (first trees removed Dec. 31); However, the rule is "6 trees in a 12 month period, and therefore were fined and required to take out an after-the-fact clearing permit.. The very large fir in the center of the property will be a "nurse log" for growing mushrooms; it is now collecting spores and will be moved to a green building project on Wing Point. The other logs stacked toward the back will be removed when work at the site resumes.

A site inspection showed that the trees that were cut down were outside of the steep slope and its buffer.
