Description

Facebook has two individuals "coordinating" traffic at the corner of Chrysler and Independence. Their buses now stop on this corner, creating a lot of pedestrian traffic. The concern is that these people are not qualified to be directing this much traffic. They are trying to make a priority of letting cars turn left from Independence which is helpful because their buses are diminishing the visibility of oncoming traffic. However, they are neglecting to protect pedestrians in the process. Today I was asked to "Keep it moving," while an oblivious young man made his way across the street. When I tried to point out there was a person in front of my vehicle the guard still was waving at me to rush along. Would someone please address the lack of attention to the real safety needs of this intersection. Someone will get hurt.
