I agree. I have heard the treatment plan is under an order to get odors under control. It seems to be getting worse. What is going on?

We are smelling an awful stench from the Waste Water Treatment plant on the other side of the Wolf River. Every time we go outside, front or back, off and on for weeks now, it has smelled like a sewer. Really awful and embarrassing when guests are over! Can you please help us out in Harbor Town/Mud Island?

This is a disturbing problem for those of us in Harbor Town, and for the greater City of Memphis. It’s just unacceptable to walk outside on such a beautiful day - or any day - to be overwhelmed by the stench of human waste. There are much larger cities than we who manage their sewage treatment without this problem. Please please please help!

It is sickening that we have to smell these toxic odors!!!!!!!! The malodorous fumes your plant emits are overtaking and often take my guests breath away. This is a total embarrassment. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO GET THIS UNDER CONTROL ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

This seems to be happening more frequently. The smell is nauseating. Please fix this issue ASAP.
I even overheard out of town tourists at Tugs commenting on the smell and they clearly wanted to leave the restaurant as soon as they arrived.

I have lived on Mud Island for over 2yrs. Undeniably, the smell is more frequent and much more noxious. I am seriously considering a move based on this smell alone. More than annoying, it’s a public health hazard.

No progress. Update is needed. No code enforcement accountability
