Thank you for using Improve Detroit. This sidewalk complaint has been referred to the City Engineering Department for investigation. Sidewalk repairs and replacements are completed only at the time when the street is resurfaced, during construction season. Our goal at the DPW Street Maintenance Division is to is to maintain the City of Detroit's roadways in order to promote safe travels within the City.

I understand what they say is protocol for repair/replaceing sidewalks. It has been explained to me for 3 years. When i contacted the city 3 years ago they were resurfacing at that time. I was told they would send someone out to access the site. So last year when they were resurfacing my block the other sidewalks were done and this one was skipped yet again! I have talked to the Street Maintenance Division several times as well as left messages to no avail.
