Your concern is noted and the Town is looking at locations for future walkways where missing links could complete a route. However, VT117 doesn't have the residential density at this time to support sidewalk or path construction where other areas do. As an example, the next priority area being looked at is to link a walkway along VT15 between the Village limits (Athens Drive) and the Town Center. This has been determined based on studies and public input to be a high priority location. It will be expensive to construct and VTRANS grants will be needed to make it affordable. The Town does have an approved bike-path plan outlining issues and priorities. You should be able to get or see copy at the Community Development or Town Manager's office.
