Still waiting....

Still waiting for it to be fixed. Check out the number of days we have been waiting.
Sent a letter to the mayor. No response from her or any office.
No one in a wheel chair or using a walker can use this stretch of sidewalk.
Three people have tripped. Two children.
Imagine a sight impaired person trying to navigate this.
So, still waiting....

The tree fell and ripped up the sidewalk in March 2017. We were told the sidewalk would be fixed. Check the date above (July 2018) and see that it was reported on this site more than a year after that statement. Now it's been another year (July 2019) since the issue was reported. So how long and what will it take to get this fixed?

When is this going to be fixed? It's been almost two years! How many more years does this take? It's getting to be laughable, though falling and getting hurt and elders and kids not being able to use the sidewalk is not a laughing matter.
The first response on 7/16/2018 shows that the matter was assigned to the Interim Commissioner of DPW. Does this position still exist? Is it filled with a person?

Thank you for your concern. This issue has been received by our department. We will look into this issue and resolve it accordingly.

The DPW has closed out this ticket and placed the sidewalk repair request in queue for evaluation and correct processing. Thank you for your patience. The DPW receives sidewalk requests city-wide, and when they are closed out here, they have been moved to a master processing point for evaluation, and assignment. They may be addressed in-house, through a contract, or in coordination with other work, such as stump removal. Thank you again!
