DPW/Highway Division assigned this issue to DPW/Engineering

I have the same experience daily. I sat at the light for 5 minutes with 5 children in the car last night while being honked at.

We have been in contact with the State on this issue many times. They have not been as responsive as we would like. Will continue to work on this.

I thought this issue was finally fixed. It seemed to be working for the past three weeks or so. But all this week the loop detector is not working again. We are stuck at the light for three or four light cycles. Completely ridiculous that this cannot get repaired correctly. It is unsafe when people get frustrated with waiting and end up going through the red light. I should not have to add 10 minutes or more to my commute because I have to sit for 10 minutes at a traffic light that does not work. I know the highway department has contacted mass DOT, but something needs to be done.It’s been at least six months.
