There is a billboard that was blown down by the storms we had several months ago. It remains there now. It is behind the Hunting Ridge Townhomes where the old fruit market building is. The old fruit building should be knocked down and that land should be utilized, as it has been in a horrible state for years.

Thank you Eileen for confirming my sentiments exactly. Can't we do better than that? It looks disgusting and should be either taken away from the owner if they can't maintain it or the owner should have to clean it up and make it look nicer.

It's been 7 months! The billboard and the dilapitated fruit stand still remain. I guess posting on this site doesn't mean anything in the eyes of the town of Parsippany. The billboard advertisement was removed but the billboard structure itself still remains lying down in the trees next to the dilapitated fruit stand with it's roof caved in. I guess this makes a great impression on all who pass thru our town via 46 West.

I called the NY office of CBS Outdoor since they own/rent out this billboard and spoke to Tim. He was going to contact the Fairfield office (973) 575-6900 to tell them the billboard needs to be removed. This was over a month ago and I will call the Fairfield office myself if it's not gone soon.
Shortly after I wrote this complain, a for sale went back on the fruit stand property. I am thrilled to report that the fruit stand is being knocked down right now - today! I saw a bull dozer ripping thru it earlier this morning so the owners (or town?) must have finally realized that it might sell if it's sold as property without a dilapitated building on it that looks like a crack house. Hopefully something will be put on this property that makes Parsippany proud rather than embarrassed.
