It is always a mess outside. The manager should keep the store front clean. Who wants to shop at a store that has trash in front of it all the time?.It then blows everywhere. People should stop littering in Randolph. How lazy can you be and obviously you weren't taught not to litter.

This trash problem is prevalent throughout the town. I see it in the parks, fields, businesses and neighborhoods.
Many residents and businesses don’t seem to care about.
The town really needs to get it under control by enforcing the by-laws and imposing fines.

I was talking to a manager @the Dollar Tree that said he has spoken to the town about it, since the litter is not just near Dollar Tree.

I have literally seen people dump trash bags out the car window in Randolph.

If you see it, please get a plate number and call RPD. No one in town will act on evidence, only a witness or video is going to get the authorities involved. I've sorted through litter thrown in my street, and no one is interested in running down a customer from DD from a time stamp on a receipt. Our Town, is suffering a very disturbing downward spiral. Litter / Dumping of Trash has become an epidemic.

Maybe if the store is fined for each re-occurrence,then they will keep it clean. The manager should be ashamed of how the store front looks but obviously he/she doesn't care. They have to walk by it when they leave at night. The trash doesn't bother them? Buy a pair of gloves $1 and clean it up!

@Taxpayer, It’s the people of Randolph that should be ashamed for their behavior of littering, rather than blaming a merchant for people littering in front of their store.

Yes, overflowing barrels, etc. need to be taken care of by any merchant, but how about people show responsibility for their behavior and stop the littering. There is litter beyond the Dollar Tree premises.

@Civicpride2016: You are absolutely correct, we have a serious people problem in town. People should be outraged to travel through our streets and see trash and debris that is everywhere. The Town, needs to become far more pro-active. They need to be knocking on doors and leaving notices, on a regular basis. Those who are doing this, are doing it purposely with callous disregard for the neighborhood they share. and are hostile when another citizen brings it up. The Town needs help, and only Town Officials and Law Enforcement can address this problem. Clearly far too many think its okay to treat our Town like a movie theater in the 1960s simply dumping your trash on the floor and leaving, expecting someone to clean up after them.

This town has taken a sharp decline in regard to Trash/Rubbish... with this garbage comes Rodents which are already here.. Bottom line is folks need to be accountable for maintaining their property/Business

Same issue at the other dollar store at 96 North Main along with the broken wall that was reported on this site 3 months ago. This photo was taken this morning.

Its the responsibility of any store and resident to keep their premises clean. People cutting through Randolph also dumping, trucks not covered properly etc. No consideration, manners,respect, values, morals..... it just wasn't taught and it shows. On the side of highways are filled with trash. People caught should be fined and do trash pick up community service.Put the prisoners to good use to clean up the highways. Do something positive for the earth!

I talked with managers of the Dollar Store, Ace Hardware and Wendy's
They all say the same thing, they empty the barrels every day and people bring trash from their cars, home and everywhere else and treat them like their personal dumpsters. They want the area clean like everybody else does and will keep a closer eye on it. We all wish we could change peoples habits of throwing trash all over town. It's a daily battle that I don't think we're winning but we'll keep trying
