I was not sure exactly how to report this code violation since this particular issue is not listed under "type" within the app.

Please advise if I need to report this violation to animal control since this violation (Sec 14-198 Private Kennel Structures). Regardless of permit violation, this stucture is to close to the property line and should be removed. It also has a tarp over the stucture which is pooling water which will promote mosquito breeding. The kennel serves no purpose since the resident was forced to remove the dogs by Clayton County Animal Control. I have also brought this to the attention to a member of the Clayton County Commissioners who should have contacted you as well.

This issue has not been addressed and I would like to know when I can expect this structure to be removed from 6848 Maddox Rd.

I have reported this issue to both code enforcement and animal control each of the pointing at the other as the responsible agency for enforcement of code violation. I would like to have clarification in this matter so we can proceed with action instead of bureaucracy. Do I need to bring this to the attention of the county commissioners? Please advise and give me an update and status as to the resolution of this matter.

In Clayton County it's always another departments problem. County Commissioners are useless unless you a someone important or rich. The only thing they stand for is reelection.

I spoke with CC Animal Control officer Townsend today concerning this issue.
He had been assigned to the complaint three weeks ago. I ask him about the status of the situation and was told that since there were no dogs in the kennel it was not considered a kennel and nothing could be done until it was occupied by an animal.
What, that is ridiculous! The 10'×10' fenced in area has two sections two gates, two dog houses, along with water and food feeding containers. If I ask any ten year old what the stucture was, they would answer with dog pen i.e. kennel.
Animal control should have address this violation at the same time I reported the loose and vicious pitbulls that were being contained within the kennel.

Marine brother Alan, as you can tell Clayton County govt is useless, It's always "We can't do anything", or they pass the buck. I'm sure if this or any other of these problems were reported, or were near anyone rich or important they would be taken care of immediately. For my many problems I went outside of the county and am also in talks with a news investigative team from one of the news stations.

Per your email recieved 2/17/19 concerning this outstanding issue of the dog kennel next door to me at 6848 Maddox Road. Nothing has been done and I have not heard from any Clayton County representatve. The kennel that should never had been constructed is still standing and and clearly remains in violation of CC code ordinance Sec. 14-198 Private Kennel Structures
Please advise what more I can do to help resolve this issue.

I still want this issue investigated further. There seems to be some confusion between Clayton County Code Enforcement and Clayton County Animal Control as to which one of those organizations is responsible for enforcement of Section 14-198 of the Clayton County Code Ordinances. I plan to meet with my Clayton County Commissioner in order to get some clarification on the matter and will keep this issue open until that time.

Recently new occupants have moved into the rental property

next door (6848 Maddox Road) and yes, they had to get a dog.  They keep the dog, that whines and howls because it is neglected, in the kennel located approximately 35 feet from our house which is quite annoying.  

  When the new occupants first moved in I contacted the property owner and informed him once again about the kennel structure being in violation of ordnance code 14-198 and needed to be removed and that I was concerned that any new tenant would repeat the previous tenants tendency's and place dogs in the kennel.  He agreed and told me that he would take care of it.  Just as the first time, I'm not holding my breath!

Adah, you and click fix must be out of the loop. I reported this issue directly to CC Code Enforcement via email and have received a reply from Meredith Ferrell that she was copying in Mr Gerald Riser with Community Development to help address the issue.

I would suggest that your department heads clarify who enforces what so that issues such as this are not left outstanding for 3+ years.
