Deskripsyon

Moved to WP in 1999. Road is worse than anything in Bklyn where we came from. WP hasn't done anything but patch since we moved here. Patching is useless. Road needs to be ground up and re-paved from scratch.

The City must consider the issue "fixed." Instead of patching the problem yet again, they slathered large sections of the road with asphalt, reducing but not eliminating the problem. Now we have washboards instead of dozens of individual patched, raised bumps.
As I originally wrote, nothing will fix this road other than grinding it up and repaving it from scratch. I guess we'll have to wait for Mayor Bradley to get the job done right. All Delfino does is cater to Capelli and his ilk.

Amazing. The City is finally arranging to fix the road. Active construction should begin in a matter of days.

2 years later it still seems that the smooth ride abruptly stops on the latter end of the Scarsdale-White Plains city line where the smooth pavement goes to patchy bumps reminiscent of some of the most decrepit expressways in the 5 boroughs

Spring of 2015 the road was finished (almost) - the construction was finished and a new road base was laid and paved. I believe they're waiting for the road to settle before putting down the final layer, because as of now the utility openings are sticking up like ant hills above the level of paving installed.

They finally laid the last layer of asphalt in late summer and the road is done (except for lane markers). Hallelujah!
