During the road work on Valentine Road last summer the crews damaged a green Verizon FIOS box in the ground that is located on the grass in between the road and the sidewalk. I called Verizon and to report it last fall and they did come but only replaced the cover. The entire box is damaged in the inside and now with rain this summer the ground has washed away around it creating a dangerous hole that someone could easily get hurt in. The entire box needs to be replaced and raised up 6 inches to match the group height. The road was raised up last summer but the box wasn't. I am bringing this to the town's attention instead of trying Verizon’s again because I didn't have any luck with them and the box sits on town property and could be a liability for the town.
