Well things were looking up till last week when the State DOT decided to embark on a "New" unrealstic job of using the water cooled 'Road knife' and they proceeded to cut a huge square in the southbound portion of Rt. 420 south at the intersection of Rt.420 and Chester Pike. The purpose is beyond me at this point i can only assume we headed back into the abyss that the insection was a year ago. At this rate I can make a standing appointment at the automobile frame & alignment shop.

Well The latest is that PENNDOT crew has come and once more, Cut slots into what's left if the roadway, Why ???? But the slots now allow the most powerful element know to mankind. . .Water, to now in infiltrate the ground under the intersection. So in closing, NO ! the intersection isn't fixed, but again as reported before, PENNDOT has gone back it's old practice or "Patch & Pray"

Thankfully PennDot has been out and repaved the entire intersection. Didn't think it was EVER going to happen, but it's all fixed now !

The borough has done some "temporary" patching, but this particular intersection has been going from bad to worse for the past five years. Nothing "temporary" is going to reverse the damage. It'll be in horrendous condition again soon.

In Ridley township, Delaware county , Swarthmore & Sellers Avenue as it crosses RT13, Chester Pike is very very poor condition. the township has patched everything, but the time has come to fix this road right. Potholes and diagonal ruts abound at every 60 feet. Patches of road dip and rise so you feel as if your traveling on a obstacle course. It's been years, time to address this problem.

A new minefield of roadway in deep, deep disrepair is Sellers avenue between industrial highway Rt 291 and Chester pike Rt.13. All of the roads 50 to 60 years old concrete slaps have lifted or created an terrible and and dangerous driving surface. And on the other side of RT. 13 or Chester Pike is Swarthmore avenue, which likewise has fallen on a very poor state of level surface. It too has any number of roadway fallen in surfaces, lifted parts of the road surface and all these dangerous roads are in Ridley township. These 2 issues show once again how our infrastructure is slowly falling apart all around us. Please help !. These are "our" roads and our children using them !

PennDot and Prospect park have done as much as possible to correct this problem in as fast and uncomplicated manner .
