Description

The basswood/linden on the easement is increasingly being hollowed out by a large hole in the trunk and upward splitting. The city did a light pruning of the tree last spring. Dangerously heavy chunks of wood continue to fall down in the street, easement, and sidewalk after storms. (This is especially concerning since the tree is located in a heavily trafficked area for pedestrians and parked cars.)
