As a resident of the street, this is a great suggestion! Washington Avenue needs a couple more crosswalks between Spring St and College Ave in my opinion. It’s a very pedestrian-heavy area with the school, park, library, churches, residences, and small businesses, yet everyday I see people having trouble crossing the street because cars are going 40 or more in a 25mph zone. Little things like extra signage and more crosswalks could go a long way in making this area safer.
