Almost weekly if not more their are very young kids playing in the street, zooming out between cars that are goning to get hit on day!!! and no parents in sight!!! goto the park and play its only two houses away.
I agree, the other day there was one so little, he shouldn't be out with only other kids watching him, and when they are in the street they don't move for cars they just stand there. Go play in the park, that is what it is there for and stop playing where you could get hurt!!!! People not familiar with the area aren't going to know to watch for unattended little children playing
This is such a problem that child protective services should be called. Anyone have the phone number of who to call or if you know someone please call. These kids are going to get killed and the mother, well she made the front page of the Mercury awhile back. It wasn't for a good reason
I agree Joe, and these kids are also the ones that try to bully the others in the neighborhood when they do try to play on the playground, that the fire department was just out fixing up. My kids won't go to the playground anymore when they see they are there. It is just a shame and sad to think of how these kids act, and as they grow up, they will think this is ok to do and the way to raise their kids.
This morning they have stuff on the sidewalk and caution tape around it, couldn't walk on it if you wanted to. The cars that are parked there out of inspection and registration, it is becoming an eyesore on this street.
I wouldn't have a problem if they wouldn't play chicken with the cars or be unattended. When a toddler that can barley walk is out there in the middle of the street all alone it is an issue. The kids that play in the street tend to be bullies to others in the area. But then again it is just par for the situation. Parents need to step up and be parents. If I even tempted to play in the street as a kid, I wouldn't be sitting for a week. The streets are there for cars to drive, the playground was put in for kids to play at. The play ground is literally right across the street.... USE IT!
