Clearly the city's $87,612 Director of Communication failed miserably last year by not notifying the city's residents when the DPW completed snow plowing and the start of the 24 hour period to clear your sidewalk began and only put a notification on see click fix that if you complained about a property that the 24 hours was not up. This was truly a disadvantage to all the citizens that try to do the right thing and clear the walkway in accordance with the law, keeping in mind tbe city frequently suggests that citizens wait until the DPW is done plowing to clear walkways to eliminate complaints of i just shoveled and you plowed me in again. The city posts every move the mayor makes on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Why is it that this important notification is never made?

Just checked the City of Malden Facebook page, no mention of the DPW declaring snow plowing is over and that the 24 hour time period to clear walkways has begun. So its safe to assume that the DPW is still plowing and the clock has not started ticking on the deadline to shovel sidewalks?

Still end of plowing communicated for the 11/15 storm, so i guess noone was required to clear their sidewalks and explains why the giant pile of snow is blocking the handicap ramp and sidewalk at the corner of Granite and Laurel St.
