Log remains in streambed, stone bridge over stream IN Jackson Springs Park still jammed solid. Request way NOT for the bridge on Nottingham.

Removed the debris - 810 (DW) 11/30/18

Once again, this SeeCickFix process is driving me crazy! The issue in question HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. I AM NOT talking about the highway bridge on Nottingham Drive over the stream in Jackson Springs Park, I AM talking about the stone pedestrian bridge over the stream in Jackson Springs Park. There is also debris, large and small, in the streambed that will also wash under the pedestrian bridge in the next major rainfall compounding the problem. The stream course itself is in very poor repair and needs attention, as does erosion around some of the historic stonework, some of which is ready to slide into the streambed. Further, the spring course and stream bed are overgrown with invasive plants that should be removed. Finally, there are many dead and dying trees that need to be removed for safety reasons and the asphalt walking trail is in need of replacement.

Don’t really care how the request is categorized, as long as the job gets done timely. However the request is, in fact, a request to clean Macon Bibb owned property. This is a public works/safety issue; it’s not a beautification issue, it’s not a street or alley, and it’s definitely not downtown. Time to stop passing the buck.

We all agree! Has this been done yet???
